1) Tuesday – Phra Pahng Sai Yart 2) Side laying posture, with the Buddha laying on his right side with his legs extended fully, with his left arm laying alongside his body, right arm contracted and the right hand is supporting the head, the left foot is rested on the right foot. 3) There was a giant named “ASURINTARAAHU”, he wanted to listen to the Buddha preaching in person, but he figured that since the Buddha was a human and smaller than he, he would have to look down at him. This particular giant was not a regular giant, but was of nobility and he would not lower or bow his head for anything or anybody, so for this reason he did not ever visit the Buddha. As time passed and more and more giants and angels talked about the Buddha’s teachings, this giant made a decision to visit the Buddha. Since the Buddha had attained a very high level, he was able to see into the future, and could tell beforehand that the noble giant would visit him. Buddha told one of his disciples “PHRA ANON’ to prepare for “ASURINTARAAHU” by setting a mat for the Buddha to lay on in an open area so that the giant can see him clearly. Before the noble giant arrived, the Buddha went to the designated area and miraculously made himself bigger. Many times bigger than the giant. (a giant’s giant). When ASURINTARAAHU arrived he was to say the least, shocked and quite surprised. He observed that even the Buddha’s two feet, resting upon one another were taller than him! So the noble giant would have to look up to the Buddha. The Buddha preached to him and said, don’t presume something without careful consideration (implying that he jumped to conclusions, thinking that he would for sure have to bow his head down to the Buddha to look at him.) The Buddha also said that even though you are the biggest giant you know of, you have not seen everything. The Buddha then took ASURINTARAAHU into the heavens for the giant to witness the beings that were bigger than he. Upon seeing this, the noble giant lowered his pride and ego and started believing in the Buddha. 4) PRAYING SCRIPT- “GARANEEYAMEDTHASUDTHUNG” chanted 8 times on Tuesday because PHRA E-SUAN crushed 8 buffalo and placed the remains on a red cloth and sprayed with holy water and out came PHRA ANGKAHN.

So the angel decided to play a trick on them, which cause them to be shocked, scared, and left the tree. They went to the Buddha to seek help and he gave them this prayer to protect them from angel and demons. 6) People that chant this script believe that they will protect themselves from angels and demons.
1) Wednesday (day)– Phra Pahng Uhm Baht 2 ) Standing posture, soles of both feet are touching, hands are at waist level and are supporting an alms (monks) bowl. 3) After Buddha attained enlightenment, he returned to his father’s kingdom and preached firstly to his relatives. After he finished preaching, everybody went home. Buddha’s relatives did not invite him to have breakfast in the palace the next morning, naturally assuming he would attend because Buddha was family. After careful consideration, since he was not invited, he wondered what he would do, so he used his intuition to look into the past and realized that the Buddhas before him would receive alms from the common people and the next day that is exactly what he and his disciples did. This gave a chance for the common people of his father’s kingdom to witness Buddha for the first time ever.

The monkey is offering a beehive and the elephant is making offering of water. 3) After the Buddha became enlightened he started to have many follower. However, there were conflicts with amongst the followers over a variety of reasons. The Buddha tried to explain and stop the fighting, but it was to no avail. He was exhausted from the never ceasing fighting so he went alone into the forest without telling anyone. In the forest he met a monkey and an elephant. These animals respected him. They became his followers and tried to take care of him by bringing him food and water. 4) PRAYING SCRIPT 5) STORY OF PRAYING SCRIPT – No story. 1) Thursday – Phra Pahng Samati 2) Sitting posture, the Buddha is in an Indian-style (crossed-legged) posture with the right leg resting on the left leg, both hands are open-faced and are resting on his lap, with the right hand resting on the left hand. 3) On the evening before attaining enlightenment, he was meditating under the PO tree, and the evils of this world didn’t want him to achieve enlightenment. The evils included Mahn sending his daughters to seduce him, torrential rain and lightning, heavy flood, strong winds, raging fire and demonic armies among others. The Buddha overcame all obstacles with his virtue. 4) PRAYING SCRIPT 5) STORY OF PRAYING SCRIPT 6) THE RITUALS AND BELIEFS
1) Friday– Phra Pahng Rumpheung 2) Standing posture, the forearms are crossed with the right hand crossing over the left hand. Both soles of the feet are touching. 3) After enlightenment was achieved by the Buddha, he contemplated and thought deeply at what he accomplished. He figured that what he attained too difficult and complicated for normal people to understand so he considered not preaching what he learned. An angel came down and convinced him that there are people who have the potential to achieve what he had and that he should continue to preach. The Buddha reminisced about the Buddhas of the past and that they taught people what they learned before they died. He figured out there are four types of people. He compared the people as the lotus. 1) smart and hardworking, so when they hear what he preaches then they understand. 2) level of intelligence is medium but hardworking as well, so they might need to hear several times and have to practice before attaining enlightenment. 3) not intelligent, but very hardworking so they will practice and practice and one day they will understand. 4) stupid and not hardworking and no faith. They have no chance to understand anything. So the Buddha learned that there are 3 groups that are capable of understanding what he has to preach, so he did. 4) PRAYING SCRIPT 5) STORY OF PRAYING SCRIPT 6) THE RITUALS AND BELIEFS
1) Saturday – Phra Pahng Narg Prok 2) Sitting posture, the Buddha is in an Indian-style (crossed-legged) posture with the right leg resting on the left leg, both hands are open-faced and are resting on his lap, with the right hand resting on the left hand. (very similar to Thursday’s posture). He is protected by MOOTJALINNHAGKARAD (King of the naga). This naga, is a seven-headed serpent and each of its 7 heads are shielding the Buddha and the torso of the snake is coiled under the Buddha’s ADSANA (sitting mat) that he is resting upon. 3) After the Buddha became enlightened, he went to meditate under a JIG tree. I rained for 7 days without stopping. So the king of the naja MOOTJALINENHAGKARAD, came to shield the Buddha from the cold and the wind by coiling his body around the Buddha and use his 7 head to cover the Buddha from the rain, but in practice the snake is coiled under the Buddha for aesthetic purposes. After the rain stopped, the Naga transformed into a young man and listened to the Buddha’s preaching. 4) PRAYING SCRIPT 5) STORY OF PRAYING SCRIPT 6) THE RITUALS AND BELIEFS
