HAWE Hydraulik SE
HAWE Hydraulik SE - as it is known today - was founded in 1949 in Munich by Karl Heilmeier and Wilhelm Weinlein. The company’s original title was 'Heilmeier und Weinlein, Fabrik für Oelhydraulik GmbH & Co. KG'. The phonetic spelling of the founders' initial (Ha+We) was the cue for the company name HAWE. Right from the start the enterprise was engaged in the production of hydraulic components and systems, with one consistent feature being that all pressurized components are made from steel. Since its foundation HAWE Hydraulik has always been an owner-run company. All of its production facilities are based in Germany at currently 7 sites. HAWE Hydraulik products are sold worldwide through a distributor network of presently 13 subsidiaries and well over 40 sales partners.
