DYWIDAG Systems International
DYWIDAG-Systems International (DSI) is a globally operating technology group headquartered in Munich with its focus on the Construction and Underground markets.
DSI was founded in 1979 as a Dyckerhoff & Widmann AG subsidiary to market licences for DYWIDAG-Products and Systems around the world.
At the beginning, DSI’s focus was on Construction, with a principal market focus being Post-Tensioning. In 2000, DSI began to establish a second division in the Underground sector. The main focus of this division is the development, production and supply of products and systems for mining and tunneling.
Today, DSI is an international group with more than 1,900 employees. DSI’s Construction division is divided into Post-Tensioning and Geotechnics in Europe and America and “Concrete Accessories” in Europe. With its new business segment “Concrete Accessories”, DSI combines its traditional DYWIDAG form tie business activities with products and systems produced by the newly acquired companies contec (Germany), Tubus (Portugal), as well as the companies Artéon, Mandelli-Setra, Technique Béton and Idéaplast (all of them located in France).
The Underground division includes Mining America and Mining Asia/Pacific as well as the newly established Tunneling division. In addition to the company ALWAG in Austria, which is part of the DSI Group, the tunneling activities of the newly acquired companies DSI-SOPROFINT (Chile) and American Commercial (USA) were merged into the globally operating Underground business unit.
DSI’s worldwide presence is based on a decentralized corporate structure. DSI is globally represented by its own DSI companies, licensees and agents.
