Hashmi Syed
The Nakokara (Hashmi Syed) is tribe, descent from the Banu Hashim clan of the Quraish, and are found in Punjab, Pakistan. They are concentrated in the Jhang and Chiniot districts of Punjab.
Family tree
The family tree of the Nakokara meets up with their ancestor Abu Talib ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib (Arabic:) (549 – 619), who was the head of the clan of Banu Hashim (Hashim ibn Abdul Manaf). He was married to Fatima bint Asad and was an uncle of Mohammad ( صلےاللہ علیہ وسلم ). His real name was Imran, but he is better known as Abu Talib because he had a son named Talib.
Abu Talib raised and supported Mohammad ( صلےاللہ علیہ وسلم ) while he was a young man. Abu Talib had four sons:
- Talib ibn Abi Talib
- Ja`far ibn Abī Tālib (Hazrat Jafar Tayyar (radi ALLAH unho))
- Ali ibn Abi Talib (radi ALLAH unho) (Family tree of Ali, Family tree of Mohammad ( صلےاللہ علیہ وسلم ))
- Aqeel ibn Abi Talib (radi ALLAH unho)
and two daughters:
- Fakhitah bint Abi Talib
- Jumanah bint Abi Talib (Umm Hani (radi ALLAH unha))
Aqeel ibn Abi Talib (radi ALLAH unho) (Arabic) was born in the year 590.
Aqeel (radi ALLAH unho) was second of the four sons of Abu Talib, who was the uncle and protector of Muhammad صلےاللہ علیہ وسلم . Aqeel's (radi ALLAH unho) nickname was Abu Yazid. He fought in the Battle of Mu'tah and became blind late in his life, dying at the age of 96.
Aqeel (radi ALLAH unho) had five sons:
- Muslim ibn Aqeel Muslim ibn Aqeel
- Muhammad ibn Aqeel
- Yazid ibn Aqeel
- Issa ibn Aqeel
- Al-Hassan ibn Aqeel
- and a daughter, Ramlah bint Aqeel.
Muslim ibn Aqeel was the cousin of Hazrat Imam Hussain (radi ALLAH unho) is the First martyr of Kufa in the Kerbala Event. Hazrat Muslim(radi ALLAH unho) was married to Hazrat Ruqayya (radi ALLAH unha) (sister of Hazrat Ghazi Abbas (radi ALLAH unho) and daughter of Hazrat Ali Murtaza (radi ALLAH unho)).
Muslim Bin Aqeel family: Most of the family is in rest in Lahore Pakistan famous as Bibi Pak Damanan 1 Bibi Pak Daman2
It is said that these ladies came here after the event of Karbala on the 10th day of the month of Muharram in 61 AH (October 10, AD 680)
Aqeel (radi ALLAH unho) was the man who found Umme Habiba (radi ALLAH unha) to marry Imam Ali (radi ALLAH unho).
Banu Hashim (Arabic) was a clan in the Quraish tribe. Islam's last Prophet Mohammad(selelaho alyhy wa alyhe wasalam) was a member of this clan; his great-grandfather was Hashim, for whom the clan is named. Members of this Syed clan carry the family name Hashmi or Hashemi and in some areas known with surname Peerzada.

Villages
The main villages of the tribe in Chiniot District area is Hersa Shaikh 4, Chauntrewala 5, Thatta Karam Shah 6, Taliyala 7 and Zakhera 8 . There also a few villages in Jhang District such as Nekokara. In addition, Sheikh Waen 9 in Bahawalpur District, Sagharpur in Jhelum District are also important villages of the tribe. In Vehari District, there is the village of Nekokara.
