ABTV,this group was formed by 4 artists, between 1988-1992, in Havana, Cuba.

Tanya Angulo Alemán (Havana, March 3, 1968). Painting, installations. Resides and works in Valencia, Spain.

Juan Pablo Ballester Carmenate (Camaguey, September 16, 1966). Painting, photography, installations. Resides and works in Barcelona, Spain).

José Angel Toirac Batista (Guantanamo, Abril 7, 1966). Painting, drawing, installations. Resides and works in Havana.

Ileana Villazón Calzada (Sancti Spiritus, June 10, 1969). Painting, installations. Resides in U.S.A.)

Individual Exhibitions

In 1989 the group made his first personal exhibition Homenaje a Hans Haacke Proyecto Castillo de la Fuerza by José Angel Toirac, Tanya Angulo (Grupo ABTV)/Pedro Vizcaíno, at Castillo de La Real Fuerza and Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba. In 1991 shows Juntos y Adelante. Arte, Política y Voluntad de Representación, parallel to Cuarta Bienal de La Havana and in 1992 José Angel Toirac and Tanya Angulo (T&T) exhibited "Avanzada. Ciclo Las Fronteras del Arte. La Habana/Málaga. Tanya Angulo. José Toirac. Pinturas" in Galería de Arte, Colegio de Arquitectos de Malaga, Malaga, Spain.

Collectives Exhibitions

He was part of many collectives exhibitions like at 1988 "Suave y fresco", in Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba; in 1990 "Kuba Construye" in Euskal Fondos Bilbao/Teatro Arriaga, Bilbao/Vizcaya/Guipuzcoa/Alaba, España and "La Huella del Pulgar"in Galería Havana, Havana, Cuba. Also they exhibited in Pabellón de las Artes, Exposición Universal Sevilla 92, Seville, España con la exposición "Color de Cuba".

Awards

Also the group obteined some recognitions, these are in 1990 The Special Mention in Curatorship by exhibition “Nosotros.” Exposición Antológica de la obra de Raúl Martínez de la Sección Cubana de la Asociación Internacional de Críticos de Arte (AICA), Havana, Cuba.
