Government Medical College and Hospital, Mahua is an under-construction government medical college and teaching hospital in Mahua, Vaishali district, Bihar, India. The institution is being established by the Government of Bihar to expand medical education and healthcare facilities in the region. Upon completion, the college claimed to offer 100 MBBS seats annually along with a 500-bed teaching hospital.

History

The Government of Bihar approved the establishment of a new medical college at Mahua in order to strengthen healthcare and medical education. The project commenced in 2021, and is being developed on a land parcel of 20 acres with a total built-up area of 1,221,099 sq ft. The estimated project cost is ₹462 crore.

The campus has been planned with four major components:

  • Academic Block
  • Hospital Block
  • Ancillary Blocks (including Dharamshala, Gymnasium, Recreation Centre, etc.)
  • Residential Blocks
