GHSS Maloth Kasba is one of the leading Educational Institution in Kasaragod district of Kerala. It is one of the biggest schools in Kasaragod district in terms of the number of students. It is situated at Vallikkadavu, nearly 4 KM from Malom town. Majority of the children in the village resorts to the Government Higher Secondary School Maloth Kasba for their education. Buses playing between Konnakkad and Kanhangad passes through the School premises. Large number of Students from the premises resorts to this village school for meeting their primary and secondary education. Majority of them belong to the below poverty line,SC/ST and other vulnerable sections of the society. Reaching the school from the far flung hilly areas of Venthamala, Valiyapuncha, Padayankallu, Chully, Maikkayam and Maikayam is really a challenge,(especially during the Monsoon season) to the students.The School produced so many talents during the last few decades of its glorious existence in this hilly habitat.Sharmy Ulahannan who was a former student of the school brought fame to the institution by winning the Women's Kabaddi gold in Asiad in China.
