Get Licensed is SaaS based CRM and Digital Marketing platform for security training providers to plan, organize and promote training courses. It also enables attendees to find and book a range of SIA Licence and Personal Licence training courses. The company is headquartered in London, UK. Get Licensed has helped over 300,000 people find the SIA license courses.

Madiha Adil, who founded the company, won Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2010.

History

Madiha Adil and Shahzad Ali founded a training company in 2007. Ali came up with the idea when he realized how difficult it was for attendees to find a reliable and cost-effective training provider for SIA license. The small training suppliers lacked the right technology and digital marketing skills to plan, manage and promote their courses. The SIA process at the time was complex, and was hard to find courses. After seeing this problem, Shahzad turned the training company into a booking platform Get-Licensed.co.uk to make it easier for attendees to find and book training and for training providers to promote, plan and manage bookings.

The company has now grown to be the largest hub of security and compliance training websites the UK. Each year Get Licensed helps 24,000 people find SIA License and Personal Licence training courses.

Company

After the Security Industry Authority (SIA) was introduced in 2003 in the UK, it became a mandatory for people working in the security industry to obtain an SIA License. Get Licensed launched a single training service initially, which was the basic Door Supervisor Course. The website now offers 10 different training courses in over 70 locations, and has over 400 training dates available.

In 2012, the platform was acquired by Right Skills and now used by many training providers, the company has plans to change the training and recruitment ecosystem by developing tools for training providers and employers in multiple hyper verticals.

Awards

Get Licensed was recognized by the Public Service Review as the fastest growing security training booking website in Britain in 2010. Madiha Adil also won Asian Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the same year.

Controversy

In November 2012, an allegation made against a UK-based training provider, that had used Get Licensed to promote their courses. The Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) withdrew a number of qualifications that had been provided by their sub-contractor.

Get Licensed was open and transparent in acknowledging that a serious breach occurred by a training provider listed on their website and responded by terminating the training provider facilitating the re-training of 600 candidates affected by the alleged malpractice free of cost under their training guarantee scheme.
