Gamelearn
Gamelearn is a company that CREATES graphic adventure video games played to learn soft skills.
Gamelearn uses game-based learning and gamification techniques to build training courses. It licenses its games to corporations and organizations for play by their employees.
Its first game, Merchants, is played to learn to negotiate and its second game, Triskelion, is played to learn time management. Merchants and Triskelion are course-length games and each takes over ten hours non-continuous Time to Play.
History
Founded in 2008, Gamelearn was derived from a conventional classroom-based training company. Ibrahim Jabary is Gamelearn's co-founder and creator of its first two games.
At present, Gamelearn has over 300 corporate, governmental and not-for-profit clients. Clients are located throughout the world.
Methodology
The methodology used to develop its courses is called "g-learning" or "game-learning" and comprises three fundamental components:
- The content of a complete course
- An online simulator, requiring the skill being learned be practiced
- A video game
