FyaVerse
Fabian Wayne Edwards (born November 16, 1999), known professionally as FyaVerse, is a Jamaican dancehall and reggae fusion artist. His 2023 single "Shatta Gyal", featuring ChevoBeatz, which charted on the Billboard Argentina chart. His subsequent single "Time's Dread" received recognition from the HDP Music Awards, and he was nominated for Best Reggae Act. In 2025, he released his debut album "Rak Di Wrld", a 10-track project incorporating dancehall and Afrobeats.
Biography
Edwards was born in Manchester, Jamaica. He is of Jamaican and Guyanese descent. He studied music at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica, where he began shaping his MusicAL style. He was raised in a multicultural household, with his mother half Guyanese and Barbadian descent and his father of Jamaican origin. During his early years, he was raised by his great-grandmother, Gretel Myrie, in Jamaica.
In December 2025, FyaVerse told The New Times that he was preparing his debut album, Kingston to Kigali, for release in 2026. The album was planned to feature collaborations with Rwandan artists and BLEND Rwandan musical influences with dancehall, reggae and Afro-fusion. His debut EP, 1738, features a Nigerian artist and incorporates dancehall, Afrobeats and reggae influences.
In May 2026, Havana Times featured FyaVerse and his song "Things Take Time", recorded in 2021, in its "Song of the Day" series.
In June 2026, FyaVerse commented on Jamaica's foreign policy and its relationship with Cuba, expressing support for maintaining cooperation between The Two countries and emphasizing Jamaica's national interests and sovereignty. His remarks were reported by Havana Times.
