Fiorano Software is a privately owned California corporation, headquartered in Los Gatos, Silicon Valley, USA.
History
Fiorano was founded in 1995 by CEO, Atul Saini, who was a member of the C++ Standards Committee, author of the STL Tutorial and Reference Guide: C++ Programming with the Standard Template Library and inventor, Real Time Push Notification in an Event Driven Network (Patent US 7,617,162 B2). It has affiliated corporations in UK, Singapore, India and Japan. It is in the business of selling standards-based, Enterprise middleware and supplying a distributed peer-to-peer, event-driven, dataflow SOA Platform based on Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology for Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and other related messaging applications.
- In 1998, Fiorano commercialized the Sun Java Messaging Service with its FioranoMQ, JMS Server, a message-oriented-middleware (MOM).
- In 2003, Fiorano released the Fiorano ESB, Enterprise Service Bus and also became one of the Founding Members of the EAI Industry Consortium;
- In 2005, Fiorano was identified as one of 26 companies in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Integration Backbone Software and has been placed in the Visionary Quadrant since then. This Magic Quadrant includes, among others, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, TIBCO, ProgresS Software etc.
- In March 2006, Researchers from the Department Of Computer Science, University of Wurzberg, Germany benchmarked FioranoMQ, IBM Websphere MQ and Sun MQ for throughput performance.
