Eric Buskirk

Eric Buskirk is currently the Associate Athletics Director - External Affairs for Louisiana Tech University. Prior to his tenure at Louisiana Tech University, he served as Assistant Athletics Director at UTSA, Director of Marketing at Lynn University, and a Market Research Analyst for the Miami Heat of the NBA.

Buskirk is a member of the senior executive staff, and oversees the areas of fundraising, corporate sponsorships, tickets sales, marketing and brand management for Louisiana Tech University. Buskirk is also a Professor for sports marketing in the College of Business at Louisiana Tech University.

Buskirk was identified as one of the “Top Forty Under Forty” Rising Stars by the San Antonio Business Journal. He has previous affiliations with the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Regional, the SALOC 2008 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four Committee, and was the NACMA Southland Conference representative. Currently Buskirk is the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) NACMA representative.

Biography

Buskirk grew up in Columbus, Ohio, attended Columbus West High School, graduated from The Ohio State University as an undergraduate, and has a MBA from the Florida Atlantic University Sports Management program.

Buskirk has also held positions and affiliations with The Ohio State University Recreational Sports department, the Miami Dolphins, and the South Florida PGA.
