DylanFest

DylanFest

DylanFests celebrate the work and music of Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan was named by Rolling Stone magazine in 2004 as being the 2nd most influential MusicAL act of the twentieth century after the Beatles and had the best song of the twentieth century in Like a Rolling Stone. Several DylanFests have sprung up around the world, many of them on his Birthday May 24th. Perhaps the best known of these is at Hibbing, Minnesota where Bob Dylan was born and brought up. There are others in the USA and perhaps the best known and biggest in Europe is the Stuck Inside of Moville festival of Bob Dylan music in Moville, Co. Donegal, Ireland. There is also an Acousticfest of Dylan music annually in Manchester, England. The biggest one in Asia is the one at Shillong which was set up by afficionado Lou Majaw and which has been running annually since 1972 - the oldest DylanFest in the world.
