DS2 (soccer)

Into/Origins

DS2 were first founded in 2005 under the name Shaktar Darwineski. They were brainchild of inspiration left back and goalscoring hero James Cleeve who helped refine the teams tactical understanding and physical ability. Over time the Shaktar split into 2 separate teams and the more advanced players moved on the create the mighty DS2. Since then they have gone on the shake the Kent uni 5-a-side community winning 2 leagues and 2 cups in only 3 seasons, leaving the opposition devastated along the way. This page is to commemorate a team that have shown the world how football should be played, with pride, passion and an unbelievably hansom left back!!

The Players

Scott Cairney is a midfielder of considerable talent. He is both footed player maker controlling possession and keeping the side organized. He doesn't score enough goals but he will create a few. Special features a nose like king kong's thiegh and club foot.

Philip Augustine De Freitas is the goalscorer of the side, always the furthest forward and looking to find an opening. He defends from the front and keeps the opposition constantly under threat. He the top goalscorer every season and [...] me is he modest AbOUT it. Special feature could be any nationality not even his mothers sure.

Antony Ralph is the newest member of the DS2 family signed over the 2007 summer break for the poultry some of [...] all. He is a member of the defensive unit and the player most likely to hospitalize someone. He began as a striker where he debuted with a 6 goal haul, but the upper echelons of the DS2 management were quick recognize his potential as a monster defender. Special Features the Hornet and a chin like a Gatwick runway.

Luke Emmons aka plainface aka toadstool is the most defensively gifted of the side (negative?). A intelligent and well rounded footballer with a strong temperament. He captained DS2 to their second soccerzone cup win this season and is a regular fixture in a winning side. Contributes to the goalscoring on occasion despite his defensive (negative?) mentality. Special Features the walk of a womble

James Cleeve is the heart of the team (also the author of this article, coincidence?). He plays mainly at the back supporting the strikers and the defense, he really has it all goals, tackles, passing and he can start a fight or two. Soon to be captain, his advanced tactical understanding and enthusiasm will surely make the side even better. Special features small feet like a pidgeon and a left footed like a rocket launcher (with no navigation system).

loan signing Mark Nelson was brought in to help us though the last tournament and performed remarkably well (like what i did there?). Mark managed to go the whole 7 games of the tournament without conceding a single goal, not even in the penalty shoot out we faced in the quarters.
