David Hew Choong Jeng

Dato' David Hew Choong Jeng (born 22 November 1968) is a Malaysian-born Australian entrepreneur. He is best known as one of the founders and Group Chief Executive Officer of VISIBER Limited.

Early life

David, was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 22 November 1968. He completed his primary and secondary education in Malaysia before heading off to the United States to further his studies in the field of Computer Science (Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, The Ohio State University). In 1994, he went on to complete his Postgraduate Diploma in Computer and Information Systems (Curtin University of Technology) in Australia.

David’s competitive knowledge and experience landed him many prominent roles offered by headhunters around the USA, Australia and Malaysia. He had served in several of the much renowned companies around the world including General Electric Information Services, SITA/SCITOR (presently known as AQUANT), Oracle Malaysia, and Health Communication Network (HCN) (a listed company in ASX). His expertise ranges from information technology and management strategy to sales and marketing, business development, and strategic consulting. Among his notable contribution in the Malaysian ICT industry is his involvement in the Oracle MSC team with his participation in project i.e. Smart School, e-Government, and Telemedicine. Companies under his care have respectively at different times been led to the arena of e-commerce and expanded into the Asia Pacific market.

Entrepreneurship

David, being widely known for his brilliance in business building places much importance in the modern use of information technology and modern management techniques. His ability to take advantage of the knowledge gained, coupled with practical experience he developed over the year has given him head start to develop a breakthrough “numerical pattern analysis”. These IDeaS later developed into the 'Ⓥ Numbers Formula', which eventually took the form of the Four Pillars of VISIBER Studies: Ⓥ Numbers Behavioral Studies, Ⓥ Numbers Nameology, Ⓥ Numbers Environmental Studies, and Ⓥ Numbers Symbology. Ⓥ Numbers Formula was then granted registered trademarks and various industrial patents both in Malaysia, as well as around the globe. With his adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit, the knowledge was systematized, rearranged, repackaged, and given a brand name.

David is currently the Group CEO of Visiber Limited. He oversees the overall daily operations as well as strategic developments of the Group. Over the past few years, he has also innovatively established a network marketing entity for VISIBER and has built a network of 45,000 distributors and 150,000 clienteles throughout Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and the world.

Since he has been exploring and engaging in the IT industry for decades, David is also developing a long term vision to initiate new IT development and social media marketing strategies for VISIBER, with the ambition that VISIBER will play a leading role in the strategic transformation of the industry.

David had also been key in shaping the overall strategic direction of the company. In just a few years' time, the VISIBER Group of Companies has become one of the market leaders in many diverse areas of business. These areas include public relations and media planning, entertainment, branding, product development, Chinese cultural industry, education, information technology, food and beverage, publishing, and charity.

Achievement and Awards

In representing David’s quality of being honorary contributor in the Malaysian society, his effort was recognized when he was conferred the honorary title of Datoship by the State Sovereign of Pahang.

In 2008, with David's efforts, he was one of 20 finalists to earn the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA), for having one of the most unique concepts in the commercial world. In addition, VISIBER ranked third in the 2011 Golden Bull Awards for Top Outstanding SMEs, awarded the 2011 MRCA 8TV Entrepreneur Awards and nominated in the 2011 Star Outstanding Business Awards. Recently, VISIBER has also won the 2013 Asian Top Fashion Institution of the Year Award.

In early 2014, he moved to Taiwan to spearhead the team to IPO in Taiwan. With an impressive background as the Group CEO of a billion dollar numbers jewellery brand, he was latterly appointed as the advisor for Taiwan Association of MLM and Hsing Guo University.

Philanthropy

In year 2008, David has established a non-profit entity under the name of 57 Foundation with his partners. The Foundation has been providing assistance in various forms to medical centres, schools, orphanage and old folk homes.
