DateARichGuy is a free online dating service. It was started in Fremont, Ca, in 2007. The founder and sole operator, 32-year-old Jason Pearson, runs the site from his Fremont condo. The site has the potential to pull in more than $5 million a year from Google advertising.
==History== Jason Pearson, CEO and Founder of DateARichGuy, grew up in the Bay Area. He worked for several dot.com companies as the number of them in San Francisco began to fall into nomans land. Jason ended up working for a public company in 2000. In 2003, he had to learn ASP.NET and built himself a dating site to learn the language hands-on. The free dating site, is quickly growing in Canada is spreading, via word of mouth, to the U.K., Australia, and the United States.
Features
Members can add photographs, if they choose. There is a rating system in place similar to the site HOTorNOT. The site also has a chat feature which allows members to chat with other members, regardless of age, [...] orientation and location. You can also do video chat which is popular among they younger generation.
==Revenues== DateARichGuy generates money three ways: banner ads, affiliate marketing, and Google’s AdSense. According to Jason, the site brings in $5-10 dollars a month.
