Dalcassian Wines & Spirits
Dalcassian Wines & Spirits is a national distributor of wines and spirits in the Republic of Ireland, established in 2005. The company is based in Sandyford, south Dublin, and takes its name from the Dál gCais or 'Dalcassians', a dynastic group of related septs who rose to prominence in medieval Ireland.
The eight principals behind Dalcassian are reported to have a cumulative 200 years of experience in the wine and spirits business.. Patrick Rigney, the company chairperson, is a former directors of Baileys Irish Cream, and co-founded Castle Brands, the company behind Boru Vodka and Clontarf Whiskey. John Dillon, Dalcassian's national sales director, previously worked for Diageo, Gilbeys, and BR Wines.
Dalcassian's principal brands include La Joya from Chile, Paul Mas and Jaffelin from France, Cielo from Italy, Lagunilla from Spain, Sileni from New Zealand, and Cape Grace from South Africa. Their spirits portfolio includes Schwartzhog and Irishman whiskey.
