D. Gwalia

Songwriter & Performer, based in Oxford.

D. Gwalia has performed across UK and in Europe. In 2010 he released the debut album "In Puget Sound". It was critically acclaimed in local press and national publications. Comparisons have been drawn with the work of American film-maker David Lynch, due to In Puget Sound's 'other-worldly' atmosphere.

He is regarded as one of the seminal exponents of 'Folk-Noir', a genre of music based on traditional folk. In 2009 he was the first ever MusicAL artist to be granted permission by the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford, to perform original compositions using one of the museum's exhibits, a 200 year old Harmonium in 2009.
