Founded by Richard Hearn. and Mark Kennedy in the Dayton Ohio area in 2001, the company initially specialized in Content Management IT consulting. It grew steadily for AbOUT 4 years. In 2004 Crown moved to a hybrid strategy of providing both Software and Professional Services by cannibalizing its custom consulting services and producing software products that supported enterprise information platforms. In 2006 The company acquired Saillant Consulting Group and began selling its software products and information technology consulting services in North America purely focused on EMC and Documentum. In 2007, the company embarked on an expansion strategy that included: a Microsoft | Sharepoint Practice, an Oracle Corporation | Hyperion Practice (Business Intelligence), Strategy Consulting, and Advanced Learning Services (Training). Through both organic growth and the acquisitions of Essential Analytics and Platform Dynamics US and Platform Dynamics GmbH the company now sells its Enterprise information management Software and Professional Services products Globally. In 2005 and 2006 the company was named to the Entrepreneur Magazine Hot 100 fastest growing new businesses in America. In 2006 and 2007 it was named to Inc Magazine's Inc 500 / Inc 5000 fastest growing small businesses in America. The Company is Headquartered in Dayton Ohio, with regional development centers in Shelton Connecticut and Denver Colorado, and maintains a European office in Frankfurt, Germany.
