Compra National High School

The Compra National High School is a public institution of learning for high school students and a former extension campus of the Liloy NHS located at Barangay Compra, a southern part of the municipality along the National Highway, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines. It was founded in 1999 and nationalized on August 2007.

History

It was a dream come true for the people of Compra and her many neighboring barangays (barrios) to have a public high school in Compra. It was established in 1999 at the vacated one (two-classroom) building of Compra Elementary School, Compra, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte. During the first year of operation, with the name Liloy National High School - Compra Annex, the school had only offered the first and second year high school programs with three (3) teachers, including Dr. CELESTINA P. LOMOLJO, the Teacher-In-Charge (TIC). On the second year of operation, the school have offered a complete high school curriculum and used the Barangay Hall of Compra and its vicinity as temporary classrooms.

It was in August 2007 when the school was converted and nationalized latter called Compra National High School.

At present, the total population of the school has gone up to more than 600 students with 15 regular permanent teachers and is managed and supervised by Dr. ERLINDA M. ORILLA, a full-fledged High School principal.
