Civil Military Affairs Unit - Manila (Reserve)

The 4th Civil Military Affairs Unit (Reserve), known officially as CMAU MANILA, is one of five Civil Affairs units of the 1st Civil Military Affairs Group (Reserve) of the AFP Reserve Command, and is based in Manila. The unit provides CMO and CIMIC support to regular units operating under the AFP Joint Task Force-National Capital Region particularly reserve units operating within the City of Manila.

The AOR of the 4th Civil Military Affairs Unit covers the entire Manila area.

Mission

  • Base for expansion of the Regular Force in the event of war, invasion or rebellion within its AOP.
  • Assist the Government in Relief and Rescue Operations in the event of Calamities or Disasters.
  • Assist the Government in Socio-economic development and environmental concerns.
  • Assist in the operation & maintenance of essential government and private utilies (e.g. power, telecommunications, water).
