Chad Borak
Chad Borak (born January 6, 1987 in Panorama City, California) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer.
Career
College and Amateur
Borak grew up in Palmdale, California, attended Highland High School, where he earned All-Golden League honors his final three seasons, and played five years of college soccer at California State University, Northridge, redshirting his junior season in 2007. He was named to the All-Big West Conference Honorable Mention team for his performance on the pitch in 2008, and earned conference honors for the second straight season as he was named to the All-Big West First Team as a senior defender in 2009.
During his college years Borak also played extensively in the USL Premier Development League, playing for Bakersfield Brigade, the San Fernando Valley Quakes and Orange County Blue Star.
Professional
Borak was drafted in the third round (40th overall) of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft by Colorado Rapids.
