Centre for Project Management Practice

The “Centre for Project Management Practice” (CPMP) is a community of practice for project practitioners and researchers established to bridge gaps through knowledge exchange at Aston University Business School. The Economic Social Research Council (ESRC) has supported the CPMP through the award of one of its Business Engagement Grants. Through this support, the CPMP has now grown to a community of 450 members in 170 organisations representing the private, public and voluntary sectors. Some organisations include Land Rover, Mouchel, DHL Exel Supply Chain, N M Rothschild & Sons, Cadbury plc, Network Rail and many more.

The centre has helped with the creation of The Transformation Project.

The principle aim of the CPMP is to develop real time, real life solutions that actually work for project managers and to use experiences to guide the future development of practice through the use of workshops, seminars, maturity assessments and mini-exchanges.
