Brad Bitler

Brad Bitler' (born February 23, 1985) is a music video director and former United States Marine. He is both a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and 2003 graduate of Davis Senior High School.

While in the service he obtained both the ranks of Corporal and Sergeant meritoriously while stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. "The Orange County Register" and "The Davis Enterprise" interviewed him for stories related to the Iraq war. After transitioning from military service to a career in the entertainment industry his work has been featured in various print and video outlets.

His creative projects have been featured on over 140 websites with views in over 126 countries. He has worked with multiplatinum artists including Xzibit, Warren G, Suga Free, Mac Dre, E-40, Soulja Boy, and 50 Cent.

According to Twitter.com/bradbitler & Vimeo.com/bradbitler Brad partnered with William 'DJ Fingaz' Houseman in Made Media Films. They worked together for the first half of 2010 until Brad moved from Southern California to California's bay area to attend The University of California, Berkeley. Today Brad enjoys his days at U.C. Berkeley working diligently on his academic endeavors. He is also a brother of the Kappa Alpha Order Alpha Xi Chapter.

Military service

Sergeant Bitler enlisted into the Marine Corps delayed entry program during the first days of the Iraq War in March of 2003. Months later he graduated from Davis Senior High School and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego in August of 2003. Upon completion of recruit training he proceeded to Marine Combat Training, School of Infantry, Camp Pendleton California.

After training successfully at Marine Combat Training, Private First Class Bitler proceeded to Camp Johnson, North Carolina for job training. At the completion of his military occupational training Private First Class Bitler’s first assignment was with Headquarters and Service Battalion, 1st Force Service Support Group (FSSG), Camp Pendleton where he was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal.

He served, as the battalion’s remain behind legal chief, supporting the battalion’s deployment to Operation Iraqi Freedom II and its involvement in Operation Phantom Fury. He handled all Courts-Martial, Non-Judicial Punishments, Command Investigations and legal matters for the battalion reporting directly to the Commanding Officer.

Upon the Battalion’s return from Operation Iraqi Freedom II the 1st FSSG went under reorganization and Lance Corporal Bitler was reassigned to Combat Logistics Battalion-1 where he was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Corporal on 2 December 2005. During this period Corporal Bitler participated in a Marine of the Quarter Board, where he won at the company level for Headquarters Company, the battalion for Combat Logistics Battalion - 1, and at the regiment for Combat Logistics Regiment – 1.

As the battalion prepared to deploy, Corporal Bitler participated in various field operations and on 2 August 2006 was promoted meritoriously to the rank of Sergeant. As a Platoon Sergeant, Sergeant Bitler deployed with Combat Logistics Battalion -1 to the Al Anbar Provence of Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 5-7.2. For his actions during the deployment Sergeant Bitler was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
