Bluetail (company)

Bluetail Inc. is an American aviation software company based in Phoenix, Arizona, that develops digital aircraft records management software.

History

Bluetail was founded in 2019 by former Apple Inc. executives Roberto Guerrieri and Stuart Illian and launched its software platform in May 2020.

In 2021, Bluetail raised $2.1 million and another $2.2 million in 2023, with the latter round led by AZ-VC.

Jetcraft adopted Bluetail's platform in 2023, followed by Wheels Up, FlyExclusive and Metro Aviation. Wing Aviation and Silver Air Private Jets later implemented the system for aircraft records management.

In 2025, it launched Bluetail Fleet for multi-aircraft operators.

In 2026, Bluetail digitized nearly 80 years of records associated with the airworthy Boeing B-29 Superfortress Doc. Also, in 2026, Bluetail added artificial intelligence tools for classifying maintenance documents and querying aircraft records.
