Bhagwan Mahaveer Public School (BMPS) Banga
Bhagwan Mahaveer Public School (BMPS) is located in Banga, Punjab, India, on Happowal Road. It is called 'The Complete School'. The school was established in 1994. However, the current school building came into existence in 1999.
Nirmaan Camp
Nirmaan Camp is organised every alternate year in the school, in which the student learn many new things like Knowing themselves, Yoga, Martial Arts, Dance, Bhangra, Lecture, Music, Games, Story and many more things. It is for the students of 6th to 10th only. In it, only 60 selected students can participate. It is 8 day residential camp where students will reside in the campus of school itself.Apart from above mentioned activities student will learn self-confidance, sharing, creative thinking, positive attitude etc. This camp has many trainings which are a source of personality development for the students and teachers also. Except it the food facilities provided by school is very fine just like home. There is no talk on the studies in these 8 days but on learning. This year, it was organised from 30 May 2010 to 6 June 2010.
Houses
There are three houses in the school: Pragti, Samridhi, Jagriti. Competitions are conducted between the house members (students) in which students earn points for their houses. Mainly the competitions are of Lecture and Games. Color of Houses: Samridhi-Yellow Jagriti-Blue Pragti-Green
Elections
Elections are conducted in the school the school every year, in which students from 3rd to 10th class choose SCA (Student Council Association) Members and House Captains for the upcoming year. Whole elections are conducted according to standard election system.
SCA (Student Council Association)
In every elections, students elect Head Boy, Head girl, Vice Head Boy & Vice Head girl as their school representatives. Head Boy and Head girl are always from the seniormost 10th class. Present SCA has following Members: Head Boy- Siddharth Madaan, Head Girl- Yashika Chopra, Vice Head Boys- Dipanshu Rawal and Kartik, Vice Head Girl- Harsimran Kaur.
