Asian Research Network

Asian Research Network(ARN) is an international research group found by RIKEN (Japan) and Hanyang University (South Korea). It has 6 research member And Co-director is Masahiko Hara in RIKEN and Haiwon Lee in Hanyang University. In January 2009, Taro Aso, the former Prime Minister of Japan visited this institute to encourage researchers. Located in 4F ~ 6F Fusion Technology Center in Hanyang University, South Korea.

History

ARN was started by joint workshop between Hanyang University and RIKEN in 2003. After two years, LOI for Asian Research Network was signed. Fusion Technology Center was built and research center office was moved in with the support of Seoul in 2008. Now in 2009, ARN has 16 participant institutions including 6 research members.

ARN has A Plan to extend to Asia-Pacific region.
