Andrew Hammersley

Andrew Hammersley (born 15 February 2001) is an American professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Westchester SC in USL League One.

Early life and youth career

Andrew Hammersley was born on 15 February 2001, in Garden City, New York, to Natalie and John Hammersley. He started his career with Hota Soccer Club before going to PDB Academy. He would then high school at Chaminade High School.

College career

He started his college career by playing for the Stonehill Skyhawks. Where he would make 31 total appearances in the 2019 and 2021 seasons.

In July 2022, Hammersley went to St. John's Red Storm. Although with Red Storm, he could not make an appearance for the 2022 season, due to playing for the Long Island Rough Riders that season.

Next summer, he would then go to Sacred Heart Pioneers. While playing for the Pioneers, Hammersley played 33 matches across two seasons.

Professional career

On 1 May 2022, while still in college with the Skyhawks, Hammersley signed an academy contract to join the Long Island Rough Riders in USL League Two. He would also sign for the club in the 2023 and 2024 season.

On 18 March 2025, Hammersley signed for USL League One expansion club, Westchester SC. On 24 August 2025, he made his debut for Westchester in a 2–3 loss against another expansion club, which it being Portland Hearts of Pine. He would make 9 total appearances in the 2025 season as Westchester finished at the bottom of the League table and failed to make the playoffs.

He would make his first appearance in the 2026 season, in a 1–1 draw against Charlotte Independence.

Personal life

His sister, Lauren, played basketball at Assumption and Adelphi. He also has brother William. His father, played basketball at Hobart College.
