Ambulatory Healthcare Services
Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS) is a SEHA HealthSystem Company. AHS was formed to operate hospitals and clinics in Abu Dhabi. The institution aims to raise the standards of healthcare provision across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by providing comprehensive facilities at its Ambulatory Healthcare Centers.
The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company was launched on 29 December 2007 under Emiri Decree No. (10) Of 2007 and owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi. While the full name of the company is Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, the corporate name is SEHA.
SEHA is health in Arabic. The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company – whose corporate identity is SEHA – is an independent, public joint stock company created to operate and develop the curative activities of the public hospitals and clinics of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. SEHA owns and operates 12 hospitals with 2,644 beds, 62 ambulatory care, family care and urgent care centers and 2 blood banks. SEHA is one of the largest integrated healthcare providers in the Middle East with 16,500 doctors, nurses, ancillary care and administrative personnel in its employ.
AHS operates more than 24 ambulatory and primary healthcare clinics in the Emirate. AHS aims to fill the void between comprehensive healthcare facilities provided by Government hospitals and the personalized care and attention given by the private sector. The four AHS subsidiaries are Ambulatory Care Centers (ACCs), Disease Prevention & Screening Centers (DPSCs), School Health Services (SHS) and Mobile Clinic Solutions (MCS).

AHS Subsidiaries
Ambulatory Care Centers (ACC): Ambulatory Healthcare Services(AHS)operates more than 24 ambulatory and primary healthcare clinics in the emirate. It has committed to implement a system-wide Electronic Medical Record for all of its healthcare centers and clinics.
Disease Prevention & Screening Center (DPSC): Disease Prevention & Screening Centers (DPSCs) are a part of Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS). These specialized units offer communicable disease screening and prevention services across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including Al Ain and the Western Regions. The services offered by Disease Prevention & Screening Centers (DPSCs) are based on the vast experience held by its efficient technical and administrative staff. DPSCs offer the best team of healthcare professionals to serve the community and can be found at four locations across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi: the City of Abu Dhabi, the Eastern Region (Al Ain), the Western Region and the Central Region of Mussafah.

Mobile Clinic Solutions (MCS): This unique mobile offering from AHS features screening and medical care technology, offering accessible healthcare across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including the remote areas. AHS Mobile Clinic Solutions (MCS) is the first-ofits-kind mobile clinic. One of the most advanced mobile medical clinics in the Middle East, it is equipped with medical equipment for full health diagnosis, examination and consultation as performed in a modern hospital. The facility provides comfortable reception, waiting area, examination rooms and laboratory. The services offered include dentistry, general medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology services, breast examination, respiratory check-up, digital X-ray as well as screening of blood pressure, heart rate, hearing, vision, cardiac status, height and weight.
School Health Services (SHS): SHS is responsible for the management of health services within all governmental schools in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It is a subsidiary of Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS). SHS provides its services at a total of 303 school clinics in primary and secondary educational institutions, delivering basic healthcare services such drawing of blood for check-ups, physical examination, administration of medicines, first aid, screening for height/weight, visual acuity, vaccination and referrals to primary healthcare centers whenever necessary. It achieves this through a team of school nurses.
