Aligorhi Barhi

Mathiura Aligorhi Barhi is a famous Barhi (house) in Beani Bazar Upa-Zilla of Sylhet district. The first University graduate and Post graduate of Beani Bazar from Aligorh University at early of 19th century were born this Barhi (house). That time there was no University in this province. The both personality were known as Aligorhi Saheb. That why the barhi till present it called Aligorhi Barhi. It is a very important place for Mathiura history. Most of University highest degree holders of Mathiura Union were the member of this Barhi. Taleb Mohammed Lodi jame Mosjid (Mathiura oldest Mosjid), Centre Mathiura Govt Model Primary School (Mathiura oldest School), ME Madresha (Mathiura oldest Madresha), Mathiura High School, Mathiura Alia Madresha, Mathiura Post Office, Mathiura Bazar, Mathiura old Road were established by The Famous persons of the Aligorhi Barhi.
