Ali Abdalah Warsame
Ali Abdalah Warsame is a Norwegian national of Somali origin, currently Rector of Galkaio Community College in Somalia, and one of the academic board at Bircham International University.
Biography
Warsame is an educator with 19 years working experience in Europe, Asia and Africa. He studied at universities and colleges in Norway and Malaysia. He has a Ph.D in Education and Development from Universiti Sains Malaysia and M.Phil.Ed in Comparative in and International Education from University of Oslo.
Career
Warsame has provided assistance to United Nation's organizations such as UNICEF and UNDP, international non-governmental organizations such as Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), and government decision makers. He has conducted research exploring the extent to which alternative models to deliver basic education could be utilized in developing countries in the effort of achieving millennium development goals and education for all. He has personally led development programs in developing education sector at different levels as well as community involvement initiatives. He taught at universities, developed education systems, monitored and evaluated educational policies and strategies, programmes and projects.
