Adult Webmaster Empire (AWE or AWEmpire) is a live webcam affiliate program. By referring web surfers from their own websites, affiliates or ‘webmasters’ as they are called in the industry, receive commission after what surfers spend on AWE’s websites. AWEmpire is one of the very few online affiliate programs that is invite only.
Adult Webmaster Empire originally started with only one website, LiveJasmin.com, but now has grown to have 9 live cam sites. The flagship site is still LiveJasmin.com, which is ranked in the top 200 web pages globally, and among the top 100 pages for US surfers..
AWE’s sites use flash streaming technology, which allows video transmission of up to 30 frames per second. Some chat hosts (as they are officially called) have 3D webcams, which allows them to broadcast their video feed in a 3D anaglyph format. This feature has been one of the biggest, most futuristic steps the company has taken.
How the affiliate program works
Affiliates can earn money in three main ways: referring cam models/chat hosts, referring webmasters, or referring surfers/potential members to the cam sites. But referring customers/members to the cam sites is the core of such an affiliate program. The basic programs include a percentage (’revenue sharing’), or one time flat rate compensation (’pay per signup’) for referring customers to AWE’s sites. The referred customers are tracked with a cookie is deposited on the users’ browser. The webmaster community is in a constant debate over the benefits or drawbacks to this cookie based system, especially because the cookies expire after a certain time period, or can be manually deleted by a user. Webmasters can also refer other webmasters or Cam models to the program and earn commission from their referred webmasters or cam model’s earnings.
Affiliates can create their own live cam site with their own logos and colors. Co-branded and whitelabel cam sites pay a lower commission, but sales on these sites are not tracked via cookies, but via member names. Therefore it is a lifetime revenue sharing option.
