Adam Hett

Adam Hett (born 19 November 1988) is a Australian professional football (soccer) player currently playing for Sydney FC.

Club career

Hett was born in Perth, Western Australia. He attended Darling Range Sports College (formerly Forrestfield Senior High School) participating in the schools specialist soccer college.

He played with Coventry City's Under-19 side as an apprentice. When the apprenticeship was over he returned to Perth and played with Perth F.C.

In 2008 Adam tried out for the reality television show that turned him professional, Football Superstar. The winner of the show would earn the right to a contract with Sydney FC, and with Hett being declared the winner, he jumped straight into Sydney's youth team.

As part of his prize on Football Superstar, he was given a scholarship to Macquarie University in North Ryde, just outside of Sydney.

In a cruel twist of fate for the Superstar, his dreams were shattered after he tore knee ligaments during a practice match and now FACES a battle to remain as a professional footballer, having been ruled out for approximately 12 months. He underwent a knee reconstruction in August 2008 and is recovering ahead of schedule.
