Miloš Lujić

Miloš Lujić (born 15 February 1990 in Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian Football (soccer) striker who currently plays for the Melbourne Victory youth team. He is also a member of the Young Socceroos.

He is of Serbian descent and is the son of Footscray JUST legend Zdravko Lujic.

Club career

Milos played in the youth divisions of Springvale White Eagles and South Melbourne. At the age of 15 he earned a place at the VIS, one year later he eventually broke into the senior team of the Bentleigh Greens in the Victorian State League Division 1. In 2007 he earned a place at the AIS where he would remain until he signed for the Oakleigh Cannons in the 2008 Victorian Premier League. Milos would remain there until the end of 2008 where he would be signed to the youth team of Melbourne Victory.

International career

In 2005 Milos was selected for the Australian U-17 Joeys which unfortunately failed to qualify for the AFC U-17 Championship, the qualifying tournament for the eventual 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup . In 2007 he was selected for the Australian U-20 Young Socceroos which won the Weifang Cup held in China.. Following his signing to Melbourne Victory in 2008 he played in the AFF U19 Youth Championship 2008 where which Australia won as well. Milos then also played in the AFC U-19 Championship 2008 held in Saudi Arabia as the Young Socceroos had qualified for the tournament, he scored in the final group stage game against Jordan in a 2-1 win. Australia went on to qualify for the 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup by beating Korea DPR 2-1 at the quarter-final stage.
