Absence of goodness
The Absence of Goodness is a novel by Isaac Morris that was published in January 2009. The [...] serves as a backdrop for the development of the main characters, Margaret Donovan, a former Sangamon County, Illinois SHERIFF's deputy who leaves to become a member of the Dominican order; and Detective Bill Templeton, a recovering alcoholic and member of the county detective squad.
The novel portrays Donovan's search for her life's meaning, and portrays her as a woman who is opportunistic and prone to questionable choices. Noteworthy is the romance that develops between her and Templeton, a deputy who helps her try to solve two murders of students that are linked to the decades old [...] of Bonnie Easter.
