Boavista Praia alongside Sporting and Desportivo of the same city were its first three particicipants from the south of the island into the second edition of GAFT Cup, a municipal tournament for Tarrafal. Boavista lost 1-2 to Desportivo in the quarterfinals on October 13.

The first match of the season was a loss to Celtic Praia which ended Boavista's 12 match unbeaten streak at the Premier Division. A two match winning streak was followed, first over the newcomer Tira Chapéu, then over Travadores. Currently Boavista is second place ahead of the mighty clubs of Académica and Sporting and behind Celtic Praia.
