History

The company was founded by Shaurav D'Silva in 2004. His background as a club DJ and promoter from the UK Garage scene and event management experience led to him becoming a consultant on a range of urban and dance music related projects including The Urban Music Awards where he brokered a sponsorship deal with Samsung and Timberland. The relationship with the "UMA" also led to 2-Tone Entertainment's 1st artist related project with singer and UMA unsigned winner Lee Henry.

During its 1st year, 2-Tone Entertainment also worked on a number of campaigns for music brands such as Warner Music, SonyBMG and Virgin Records.

2005-2009

The company began to work more closely with artists and record labels on A&R, specialist promotion and online PR; some of the notable projects included Chipmunk, Jasmine Sullivan, Taio Cruz, Ginuwine, Joe, N-Dubz, Jay Sean and Mz. Bratt.

The company also started to explore international territories, brokering its first deals in the Middle East and in Japan with UK RnB Artist Ramzi. Ramzi achieved "Gold" Sales status in the Middle East.

2009

The company continued to grow with the rise of urban music in the UK and ventured into more specialist dance genres such as Dutch house.

Having met music lover and footballer Ryan Babel through a mutual friend, 2-Tone Entertainment began to work closely to develop Dutch rapper, singer and producer Perry Mystique.

Already an established hip hop producer in the Netherlands, Perry was at the forefront of the burgeoning Dirty Dutch house scene and in late 2009, 2-Tone Entertainment agreed a deal for Perry Mystique with Mercury Records.

The 1st single "Party Like Your 18" featuring UK rapper Sway was unreleased for various internal reasons, mainly surrounding the fact that the Dutch house sound was not commercially accepted in the UK as yet.
