1legcall, is a mobile VoIP dialer that works on most Nokia phones.
Description
1LegCall is a mobile dialer application that uses existing mobile handsets to deliver a call solution using VoIP technology. To make a call using 1LegCall, the user needs to download and install the application to a compatible mobile phone and log-in using a user account like other VoIP calling services. The 1LegCall VoIP Dialer uses g729 codec for voice transfer.

Launch
1legcall launched in January 2009.
Growth
In March 2010 TalkFree, Inc reported over 2-million minutes a day in its first year over 1legcall.
Cheating
On May 2011, Several cases of reseller not receiving their order after their payment happened in United Arab Emirates (UAE). This event cause many end-users not receiving their services after purchase 1 LegCall accounts or calling card. 1LegCall was investigated by the authorities for not having proper dealings through various agencies.
Currently, 1LegCall is withdrawing its service away from the Middle East area as well.
Crackdown
On 3 June 2011, an massive crackdown by the Dubai Police Force in conjunction with Etisalat and DU was held. Users of 1LegCall were Over 358 resellers were caught in procession of 1LegCall cards. Many of them were deported back to their countries and banned from entering into Middle East.
The information of the resellers were given by a current employee from TalkFree Inc. The whole operation was able to be successful due to the g729 codec which was installed in 1LegCall dialers Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Lieutenant General of Dubai Police Force held a press conference mentioning the seriousness of having unaccountable telecom service through illegal means and such action will not be tolerated.
