Zavorash (abbrevation of "Za Vorbashtar Raz Shapog", J.R.R Tolkien's "black speech" for "The Legion of Vengeance").
Swedish (Stockholm-based) black metal band started in 1996 by (psudonyms) Zablogma (vocals), Zagzakel (guitars) and Zagrash (guitars, production). The band released a self-titled demo-tape in late -96. In 1998 Necromorbus was recruited as drummer and the band recorded their second demo "In Odium Veritas" - two additional songs were recorded for two separate underground-compilations featuring the current black/death metal scene (of which only Voices of Death Compilation Vol. II is the only one that got released). The band also attended a live gig south of Stockholm.
In 2002 the band signed with Selbsmord Services and first released their "In Odium Veritas Demo" as a MCD with previously unreleased bonus material, after which, in 2003, the full-length album "N.A.S.D." (Nihilistic Ascension & Spiritual Death") was recorded. Behind this production was only Zablogma (now calling himself Totalscorn) and Necromorbus (a.k.a. I.Hate), as both the original guitarists of the band had quit. The two remaining members of the band used Gideon on bass.
The cooperation with Selbstmord Services, and it's renowned owner Niklas Kvarforth, led to a swap of labels post-production in the case of the NASD-release. Finally Total Holocaust Records (of southern Sweden) released the album - many years delayed - in 2005.
Having first been viewed as a rather typical black metal band of the more classical type, Zavorash's second demo and final album marked a more refined variety of the genre; having an outspoken nihilistic dogma behind the lyrics and thus taking an ideological stance both against conventional christian society but also the religious influences within the black metal scene itself (satanists etc.). Reviewers were predominantly very positive to the music, even though the band never seemed to even aim at any larger commercial success.
Members of the band, specifically Totalscorn and Necromorbus, are known in metal circuits for their participation in other bands, Necromorbus being by far the most routined arist of the two.

Nazir Jahangir's take on writing
Writing merely doesn’t mean recoding things as they happened. If one simply writes what one feels that is pure photography. Experiences need to be brewed in the purgatory of ones mind and heart. Emotions are to be crisped in the agonies of life to make them communicable to others. One of the prodigious job of a writer is to made his experiences universal.
Jahangir has his own distinction. His diction, his treatment is always different. In fact , his short story would itself bespeak that he has been jotted down by Nazir Jahangir
Pain is the canvas on which I paint
Whether it is my short stories, poetry or plays, my theme is always pain in its comprehensive sense. Pain is the canvas on which I paint. Each individual soul seems pain incarnate to me. Every laughter to me is fraught with vestiges of agony. Man’s laughter seems insincere while his crying genuine. I think I have seen life raw. Even birds and flowers to me seem writhing with angst. When a flower boasts of its color that is basically a posture to hide its pain. So far as I have penetrated human psychology, I feel human weaknesses, pride, laughter, dressing and every aspect of human personality as an effort to mitigate that pain, whether he is conscious or unconscious of it. Anyone who refutes me is not saying truth.

The Borwick Proposals came about as the indirect and unintended result of a conference held by the National Union of Students, (In accordance with the Centre for Excellence in leadership), on the 28th to the 30th November 2007 at Borwick Hall in northern Lancashire. Lasting three days, it was intended to foster 'Excellence in Leadership' by the socialisation of the Student Delegates into supporting the National Union of Students. Understandably, some Delegates were critical of this quite blatant propaganda exercise and the result of this was the creation of the Borwick Proposals.
The list was drawn up by a number of Delegates, (of whom the most prominent and most enthusiastic were Kyle Kennedy and Ian Bannon), and was instrumental in defining what students expect from their Student Union and how such criteria were to be met.
The method of meeting these criteria was decided upon as being in the form of a Constitution, (Thenceforth known as the Borwick Constitution), which was to be applied in a number of Colleges. From there, it was expected that these Colleges would then join together as a Confederation, committed to upholding the 'Law of Liberal Democracy' and defending the rights of students, not merely as students but as citizens and individuals in their own right.
The List of Proposals, (though in no published format, as of yet), is as such;
-The creation of a constitutional text enshrining the principles of Freedom and Liberty.
-The creation and incorporation of a legal and judicial system into the running of Students Unions.
-The creation and incorporation of a formal legislative structure to ensure more participation in Student Governance.
-The complete reform of the structure of a Union Executive, with a Seal of Office and a system of Decree-making.
-The creation of a 'Collective Presidency', whereby rather than have one de facto head of government, a committee of three
exists to ensure constant leadership and abuse of power.
-And above all, the assurance that principle be placed before politic; to ensure that the Duties of Office be not neglected,
as well as to ensure that personal philosphies, (Of those who should know better, no less), do not influence or affect the
running of a Students Union or indeed, the rights of its members. As has happened before.
