Robert Abbinanti is a former amateur heavyweight boxer. Abbinanti fought in local Chicago amateur events such as the Golden Gloves and Chicago Park District tournaments. After his boxing career he was involved in local politics and union management in Chicago.
Abbinanti trained at La Follete park in Chicago, and was trained by coach Pat La Cassa.
Other activities
Mr. Abbinanti was involved with the 36th Ward Regular Democratic Organization on the Northwest Side back in 1983. The boundaries of the bungalow belt ward brush up against O’Hare Airport. Once the political fiefdom of Alderman Louis Farina until Farina was convicted on bribery charges in the early 1980s, it remains one of the strongest cogs in the old Democratic Machine of legend. Voter turnout in the 36th Ward always runs proportionately higher than in other areas of the city, because of the well-oiled political apparatus.

The Gammaverse is an alternate Earth in a parallel universe in the series Charlie Jade. It is a global egalitarian state with a population of around 3,000,000,000 people. This world has almost no reliance on technology and has cities limited to no more than 10,000 people, family units of no more than 4 and it is a world where everyone is middle class.
Democracy and balance of the Earth's resources are the most highly held principles that are instilled in all citizens at birth. Voting is mandatory and the minimum voting age is 17. Gammaverse has recently changed its global democracy government and has elected the One Globe Authority to standardize all rights and services. Countries did not cease to exist but "Humanity Codes" standardized society into one global free trade zone with common regulations for customs, economics, immigration and freedoms of movement, education, security, agriculture, welfare regardless of the region.
Gammaverse has healthy air and oceans with rich and vibrant colours with most people living a rich and fulfilled life with everyone having free education and health care and almost no crime. Although Gammerverse looks like paradise, it is far from perfect as behind its peaceful appearance there stands a corrupt and powerful bureaucracy that is obsessed with clamping down on overpopulation while being backed by a powerful global police force.
