Anthony Edwards (born 1949 or 1950), also known as Tony Edwards, is a retired English criminal defence solicitor and legal writer. He spent his whole career at TV Edwards, the East End of London law firm founded by his uncle, T. V. Edwards, joining as an articled clerk in 1972 and serving as its senior partner for fifteen years until 2015.

Edwards held a number of national roles in criminal justice. He was a member of the Sentencing Guidelines Council throughout its existence, served for seven years as the non-executive commissioner of the Legal Services Commission responsible for the Criminal Defence Service, and sat for ten years on the Law Society's criminal law committee. He wrote the criminal law column of the Law Society Gazette from 1991 until his retirement in 2019, and is the author or co-author of a number of practitioner handbooks on police station advice, criminal defence practice, sentencing and legal aid. In 2008 he received the Outstanding Achievement award at the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year awards.

Thomas Victor Edwards, known as T. V. Edwards, was an English solicitor who founded the London law firm TV Edwards in 1929. He set up the practice on Great Prescot Street (now Prescot Street) in Aldgate, in the East End of London, where it served local clients including dockworkers injured in workplace accidents. Accounts published by the firm say that he took on criminal cases at a time when few lawyers did, and that his clients included members of the Kray gang and one of the Great Train Robbers.

The firm he founded still bears his initials. By the early 2010s it had grown through a series of mergers into one of London's largest legal aid firms, and it celebrated its 95th anniversary in January 2025. Edwards is depicted, with his nephew Anthony Edwards, on a large mural painted in 2011 on the wall of the firm's offices on Mile End Road.

Christina Blacklaws (born 1965 or 1966) is an English solicitor who served as the 174th President of the Law Society of England and Wales from July 2018 to July 2019, the fifth woman to hold the office. A family lawyer by background, she co-founded the London family law firm Blacklaws Davis, which merged into TV Edwards in 2011, and then launched the family law service of Co-operative Legal Services as one of the first alternative business structures in England and Wales.

During her presidency she led the Law Society's research and campaign on women in leadership in law and chaired its Technology and Law Policy Commission, whose 2019 report on the use of algorithms in the criminal justice system called for greater oversight of such systems. She was appointed by the Lord Chancellor to chair a government panel on legal technology, later LawtechUK, and has since chaired the Judicial Pension Board.
