Cartoonists Association of Nigeria (CARTAN) is a professional body representing cartoonists, illustrators, and visual satirists in Nigeria. The association promotes the art of cartooning, supports the professional interests of its members, and contributes to public discourse through visual commentary.
Vargem Grande Farm (Fazenda Vargem Paulista in Portuguese) is a farm founded in 1837 in the municipality of Areias, a town located in the interior of the state of São Paulo. It was an important farm during the Brazilian coffee cycle.

These conflicts, which involved the major mafia organizations such as Cosa Nostra, were characterized by struggles for territorial control, illegal businesses, and alliances with local politicians and entrepreneurs. The mafia wars manifested through murders, bombings, and a relentless escalation of violence, often culminating in massacres that shocked both Sicily and the entire country. Among the most notable periods of conflict are the 1980s and 1990s, which saw the involvement of prominent figures such as Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, key players in the fight against the mafia.
Sedimental is an independent recording label based in Greenfield, Massachusetts releasing mainly experimental, sound art, noise, free jazz, avant garde and drone music. It was founded in Austin, Texas with the first album from ambient-drone group Stars of the Lid and their debut Music for Nitrous Oxide in 1995. It was followed up with specialized releases from Phill Niblock, Kyle Bobby Dunn, Francisco Lopez, Brendan Murray, and Alessandro Bosetti. Most of which are limited editions of 500 copies.
The label prints and presses their vinyl and compact disc releases in house and often with a unique, non-plastic gatefold sleeve.
Related activities include radio (wzbc 90.3 fm- Boston) and Non-Event in conjunction with Dan Hirsch, Susanna Bolle and Bhob Rainey in promoting local, national and international experimental and improvising artists in live settings for the Boston area as well as Mental-Drift in coordinating very infrequent performances in the Pioneer Valley.
