Don Fierro
Don Fierro is a rock fusion power trio from Mexico.
History
Don Fierro starts in 2008's summer with long jam sessions between Randy on guitars and Alim on drums. It was not a band, it was just meetings & gigs in Alim's lair, the kids rock's home-house located in their campus at Ángel Carvajal, in the Zapata neighborhood, Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico; where anothers characters were involved in jams with one common need: just rock. In this way Randy & Alim formed a musical ideas repeirtore that months later with the Esteinman "the director" arrive, this ideas transformed into songs. One day this songs get their own path and went outside of the kid's rock home house that was more a Rock & Roll's hermitage and by itself gigged at the Universidad Veracruzana's Humanities Auditorium, the former Lulú Bar, La Muerte Chiquita and the Escondrijo and in a total madness attack get recluited in the Mexico City's North Penitentiary.
With confidence this songs wanted to carry their rock in the Jailhouse and made a movement but in the penitentiary they meet "Uncle Bones" Rock & Roll's Shaman who theach them that Rock is Prison. After comeback to Xalapa the songs took their musicians and turned into more songs and made their own imprisionment for a time waiting the moment to break out silence.
Don Fierro is recording their debut album.

Dr Melton Slater Thornaby was born on 26 May 1957 in North London. He studied in Cambridge. Melton is the son of sociologist Simon Holt Thornaby and wine merchant Elisa Hogg Slater. His brother Peter Thornaby is a television critic.
Thornaby currently writes a travel blog , and contributes to a number of online food and wine guides including Love That Wine and Wine Web. He also contributes wine reviews to ViniVino.

Thornaby joined the South China Morning Post in 1986, later becoming the food and wine correspondent. At that time he also wrote a wine column for the Straits Times in Singapore. In the early 1990s he chaired a radio show about food and wine for CRHK in Hong Kong.
In 1992 Thornaby issued a statement admitting that he had an affair with Allegra Blunkett, before her marriage to Paul Clamp in 1990. The scandal led to Thornaby's resignation from the lifestyle magazine "Klue" in Kuala Lumpur.
