Wassim Rasamny is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist. In addition to being an investor in global biotechnology and medical device companies, Rasamny is the Executive Vice President and co-founder of Century Motor Company, and the co-founder of the Kayany Foundation. He is also a investor for “Look Away,” a dark comedy film that has yet to be released.
Rasamny is also an artcollector and currently serves on the board of directors for Friends of Kayany, a public charity based in the united states committed to educating Syrian refugee children.
Early Life
Rasamny was born in Lebanon to Rashid Rasamny, a Lebanese businessman, and Joheina Rasamny, a philanthropist. His parents were major benefactors of the Druze orphanage in lebanon, and helped co-found the Rasamny Younis Motor Company where Rasamny was a member of the board from 2007 to 2010.
Wassim’s family moved to New York City in 1976, at the onset of the Lebanese Civil War. While living on New York’s Upper East Side, he attended New York University, where he graduated with a degree in economics.
Work and Career
After graduating, Rasamny co-founded the family’s real estate development business in Connecticut in the mid 1980’s.
Rasamny became involved with the automotives industry in the 1990’s, when he became an Executive Vice President and co-founder of Century Motor Company, the only distributor of hyundai vehicles in Lebanon since 1993 and most recently hyundai heavy industry.
Rasamny began investing in biotechnology in the 2000’s, and in medical device startups most recently. He developed an interest in art collecting by virtue of growing up within close proximity of the Upper East Side’s museum mile lane.
Philanthropy
In 2013, Rasamny helped co-found the Kayani Foundation, a Lebanese based non-profit organization committed to educating syrian refugees. The organization has received numerous awards and recognition for its work, notably being chosen for the 2016 Lennon Ono Grant For Peace and the 2016 MacJannet Prize for Global Citizenship, among others.
Rasamny and the Kayany Foundation are currently organizing a 2017 art auction to benefit programs aimed to educate young syrian refugees children. Rasamny has indicated that the event will exhibit works from several artists and galleries around the world.
Rasamny is also a member of the board of directors for the Friends of Kayany, a U.S. based NGO that works in relation to the Kayani Foundation. According to the Friends of Kayany webpage, Rasamny was “instrumental in organizing” the 2013 Syri-Arts art auction benefitting syrian refugees children.
The page also mentions that Rasamny provides ongoing funding for several high school and college Lebanese students every year, including nursing scholarship tied to the Ain owe Zain hospital in Lebanon.
Rasamny, following on his parents’ legacy, has also provided several renovations and scholarships for the Druze Orphanage in Lebanon and the Druze Orphans and Charitable Organization.

Asgar Ali Chowdhury Mosque () is a historical mosque in Chittagong, Bangladesh. It was established in the early 19th century by Asgar Ali Chowdhury, who was a famous zaminder (landlord) in Halishahar, Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is situated in Asgar Ali Chowdhury Bari, Chowdhury Para, North Halishahar, Chittagong which is positioned 1.5 km west from Boropol, Agrabad, Chittagong.
The Asgar Ali Chowdhury Mosque is considered an excellent example of Mughal architecture. It comprises three domes arranged in a row, the middle dome being larger than the two side domes. It also comprises 24 minars.
Since the death of Asgar Ali Chowdhury, the mosque has been maintained in part through donations from the estate of his son, Osi Meah Chowdhury.

Purpose
Chi Sigma Xi aims to offer its members a community of women to support them through and beyond their university experience. Members of the organization are offered leadership experience and volunteer opportunities.
Crest and symbols
The official colours are: black, white and purple. Their symbols including: purple roses, the balanced scale, the torch and their mascot (the wolf), are incorporated on their crest.

"The sisters of Chi Sigma Xi are committed to improving their community through volunteer work, fundraising events, scholastic achievement, and sisterly support given to each and all of Chi Sigma Xi members." The sorority believes in equality and maintains that its members are equal by refraining from use of a hierarchal system. The sorority also enforces a strict no hazing policy and does not tolerate any hazing of prospective members or between members. Chi Sigma Xi does not require any sorority dues or membership fees to be a member.Chi Sigma Xi offers academic support to its members including study sessions and a textbook library.

Ian S. Takahashi is an American Underwater Cinematographer and Camera Operator. He is known for his work on Beyonce's Lemonade visual album, Michael Bay's 'The Last Ship', 'Swiss Army Man' for Daniels, along with commercials for Nike, Land Rover, Corona, and a Twin Towers Memorial display for Director Joe Wright, sponsored by Ford.
Education and early Career
Ian S. Takahashi was raised in St. Helena, CA, where he attended St. Helena High School, playing 4 years of Varsity Soccer, 2 years of Varsity Basketball, and 2 of Varsity Golf. While in High School he found an internship at a local production company and decided to pursue a career in the film and television field.
While attending Film School in San Francisco Ian landed another Internship, this time under Director Francis F. Coppola and Cinematographer Ron Fricke. Ian also met and began a 10+ year mentorship under Underwater Cameraman and Mike Thomas.
After Graduating and moving to Los Angeles, Mike Thomas brought Ian in as Camera Dept Intern under 2 time Academy Award winning Cinematographer John Toll, ASC. Immediately after Ian was hired as Director of Photography for Director and Comedian Bobcat Goldthwait's film 'Sleeping Dogs Lie' which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006. He began to shoot small Underwater projects when he could.
Ian joined the International Cinematogarpher's Guild as a Camera Assistant, working for Roman Coppola, Francis F. Coppola, and Romanian Cinematographer For the film 'Little Red Wagon' for Director David Anspaugh where Mihai Malaimare Jr moved Ian up to the position of Camera Operator, where he later officially re-rated.
Recent Career
In 2013 Ian was introduced to Peter Romano, ASC, owner of Hydroflex and Legendary Underwater Director of Photography. Later that same year Ian was hired to shoot the Underwater work for Selena Gomez's 'come and get it' video, Katy Perry's 'unconditionally', 'Pretty little Liars' 'Scandal' and 'Master of Sex'.
He Ian signed with Agent Erin Searcy at The Gersh Agency, as Underwater Operator and Cinematographer, and spent the next year working on projects like 'True Detective', commercials for Corona, Verizon, Princess Cruises, and features Swiss Army man' or The Daniels with Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano, 'The Neon Demon' for Nicholas W Refn, with Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks and Elle Fanning, 'All I see is You' for Marc Forster with Blake Lively, and 'The Layover' for William H. Macy, starring Kate Upton. Erin Searcy joined WPA as a partner and Ian followed her to that agency, booking ' Lemonade' visual album, as well as adding Nike, Ford, The Last Ship, to his work, and landing a job as Director of Photography (and Underwater Cinematographer) for a commercial under Marc Forster.
Family
Ian is Married to Marvel Executive Corinna Vistan and have a son Roman Takahashi.
