Frontier High School is a private school in Fairbanks, Alaska. In 2008 there were eight students and one main teacher, Jeff Wagner. Wagner teaches everything other than math and science.
History
Curriculum
The Headmaster and main teacher is Jeff Wagner. He teaches most subjects other than Science and Math; Government, Art, American History, Geography, and English's 1, 2, 3, and 4 are examples of the core classes he teaches. In addition to these main subjects, Jeff (and any other current teachers) teaches one or two different Elective classes according to what a majority of the students are interested in learning.
Math and science courses are currently organized through Delta Cyber School, as the school has had trouble finding a teacher in those courses willing to work for less than they would be paid in a public school.
Extracurricular activities
Though not an elective or choice, per se, Frontier High School owns and operates a small newspaper known as Top Class Printing and Publishing. The students operate all aspects of the business, including printing the paper and talking to customers. Prior to 2009, the students also conducted the lay-out of the paper and then printed it - but with the acquisition of Polar Run Printing, the employees of that company now conduct that portion of the paper. The students, however, remain the ones who fold and 'stuff' the papers, in a process that involves folding each paper individually and then inserting any extra pages that may have resulted from a busy week.

Orbit-Vis is an orbit simulation program which is designed to allow users to simulate a satellite in any orbit around the Earth, and to give the user data on the position and motion of the satellite in both visual and numerical form. It is based on information from the book 'Satellite Orbits - Models, Methods and Applications', and is an example of an orbit propagation program utilising the Kepler Two-body problem for solving elliptical orbits.
It uses the Graphics Device Interface to display the calculated orbit as it progresses.
Features
The program features two major parts - the input and numerical display window, in which the user can enter a desired Apogee and Perigee and press the 'Launch!' button to begin the simulation, and which displays the numerical properties of the orbit in real time, and also the visual display, which consists of a sizeable window displaying the Earth and the orbiting object to scale. Also featured is a control panel which allows the user to manipulate the display window in real time.
The graphical display features double-buffering and the ability to update the inputs while the simulation is running, along with a moveable viewpoint and the ability to pause the simulation.
Version 2.0 also fixed various bugs and cleared up the interface.
