SVR Spetsgruppa Strelok (arrow, gunner, pointer) is a virtually unknown Detachment composed of Regional Teams. Each department (geographical region) contains of 10-24 members on station or in training. Each department can receive instructions from the President of Russian Federation, Residentura, or Chief of Consular Affairs in whichever country the assignment is to take place. Our secondary role was to provide Documents and Local Intelligence on Prime Targets for Supporting Special Detachment Groups. We belong to SVR-Directorate S. Each Team Member has following training :
* Our Motto : БроÑ?ить Ð?е Тень (Cast no Shadow)
* Response : ПрÑ?татьÑ?Ñ? Ha Открытом Boздухoм. (Hide in plain sight/open air.)
These grew from the following KGB Chief Directorates:
*The First Chief Directorate (Foreign Operations) — responsible for foreign operations and intelligence-gathering. This chief directorate had many sub-directorates of its own. The First Chief Directorate also ran the Executive Action Department, or Department V, which conducted assassinations, snatches and sabotage in enemy territory.
*The Second Chief Directorate — responsible for counter-intelligence and internal political control of citizens and foreigners in the Soviet Union.
*The Fifth Chief Directorate — also responsible for internal security; originally combated political dissent; later assumed tasks of the Second Chief Directorate, such as controlling religious dissent, monitoring artists, and the censorship of media; it was renamed Directorate Z (to Protect the Constitutional Order) in 1989.
Spetsgruppa Strelok is outgrowth of Spetsgruppa Vympel. Do to Russian Society and Buearocracy constantly changing to meet new needs, all info is to be considered outdated by time of publication, as Internal Ministry doesn't allow release until it no longer represents threat.
Our patch was similar to Brigade 34-Я MВД, but w/ Big Dipper over left shoulder pointing to Polaris over beret. (similar to Alaska State Flag.)

The above should be cross-linked to other SVR/KGB articles. I don't know how to, so please help. If you have any questions or request additional unclassified info please note this and I will try to respond within one week.

Burnivore is a newly proposed popular word to categorize the human species. The word was invented by Maurice R. Adema, CEO of Sundaya International Pte Ltd in Singapore.
Herbivores, Carnivores and Omnivores are all creatures that need energy to survive; but not only to survive but also to improve quality of life. A feeling of hunger reduces quality of life and this problem is addressed by eating (collecting new energy) and through metabolism converting it to new chemical substances that can be used by the creature’s bodies. The energy use of Herbivores, Carnivores and Omnivores for survival and improvement of quality of life will mainly be through their own bodies.
Modern human beings however use much more energy outside their body for example to heat or cool their homes, propel their cars, cook their food etc.
In fact human beings use on average approximately 30 times more energy than their own body can use. (in the USA which consumes 1 quarter of the worlds energy resources this figure would be 175 times more than the body consumes)
Calculation:
The total world’s population energy use is 500EJ (Exa-Joule) per year:
This Energy is released from the following resources:
Oil : 200EJ (40%)
Coal : 125EJ (25%)
Gas : 110EJ (22%)
Nuclear : 30 EJ (6%)
Hydro electric : 30 EJ (6%)
“Renewable” : 5 EJ (1%)
An average person needs 7MJ (Mega-Joule) from food per day and thus with a total population of 6,5Billion the total amount of energy from food used by the human population per year is 7.000.000 x 6.500.000 x 365 = 16,7 EJ
500 / 16,7 = 30
Method of energy extraction:
87% of the world’s population energy use is obtained through burning of fossil energy carriers like oil coal and gas.
Putting those facts together that a human being on average uses 30 times more energy than it’s own body can use and that the energy is released through the process of burning was the reasoning behind calling the human species “Burnivores"
energy crisis. Again the Joule Standard brings the solution.

"Energy illiteracy" or "Energy blindness" means that people hearing about a certain quantity or volume of energy have no idea how to compare with another form of energy. It can be stated that over 99% of the world's population is energy illiterate.
Weight and Length literacy:
If you hear that somebody is 2,5meter tall and has a bodyweight of 40kg; you will directly be able to visualize the person's body shape without seeing the person. This means that you are weight and length literate; you know what the numbers mean and you can visualize the numbers and place them into a context.
If you hear that somebody has eaten 5kJ (kiloJoule) for breakfast or that a certain car consumes 5MJ (MegaJoule) per km than most people have no clue at all if those amounts are a lot or a little; nobody can place those numbers into a context and that is what is meant with "energy illiteracy"
How to eradicate energy illiteracy?
The solution is simple; the reason why most people are length an weight literate is because we always use the same units for lenght and weight; measuring the height of a door or your body or the lenght of a table we all measure in the same units. The same for measuring weight for food and building materials and your own body weight are all measured in the same unit.
The unit for energy is Joule and all forms of energy; fuel, coal, gas, wood, electrity, heat can all be expressed in Joule. A grown up human being needs between 6 to 8 MJ (MegaJoule) per day and an average fuel-burning car consumes 5MJ per km.
Did you know:
That Gasoline contains 34,6 MJ per liter and Diesel 38,7 MJ per liter and Biofuel around 30,5 MJ per liter and Ethanol only 20,5 MJ per liter. Dont be surprised if a car converted to ethanol almost uses double the amount of liters; because what you need is energy and not liters; and the unit of energy is Joule.
Did you know:
That the wattage of a certain electric appliance does not say anything about the energy consumption of the appliance.
It can be that a refridgerator of 70Watt consumes more Energy than a 100Watt fridge. How can this be? The Wattage of an electric device tells you only how much energy it consumes per second (Watt Joule per second) and that is not enough information to tell energy consumption in an hour or a day. A refridgerator switches on and off all the time and let's assume that a 70W fridge is on for 3000 seconds per hour than this results in an energy consumption of 70J/s x 3000s/h x 24h/day 5.040.000Joules (5MJ) per day. If the 100W fridge only is on for 1000 seconds per hour than the energy consumption is 100J/s x 1000s/h x 24h/day 2.400.000 (=2,4MJ) per day; which is less than half the consumption of the 70W fridge. You see Watt information can mislead you badly and thus it is high time to start implementing energy information on electric devices instead of "power-information".

Harry Meadows was a pensioner and accidental killer.
In 1961, 87-year-old Harry Meadows, a resident at the Haslemere Home for the Elderly in Great Yarmouth, England, achieved late-in-life notoriety when he accidentally killed another 3 residents of his care home by dressing up as the grim reaper and peering through the residents' lounge window whilst holding a scythe.
The year before Harry's performance, another resident of the same home, the then 81 year old Gladys Elton, for reasons best known to herself, had conceived the idea of performing a striptease for her fellow residents of the home; unfortunately such was the effect of Elton's performance that it caused the death of one resident by way of a cardiac arrest and the treatment for shock of five other residents.
The home was forced to shut as a result of these two incidents.
