Jimmy Martinez is a professional wakeboarder, he was born on May 12, 1988 in Madrid, Spain.
At the age of 4, he started riding motorcycles with his father, which quickly turned into his biggest passion, as he loved the speed and adrenaline that he felt while riding. At the age of 14, Jimmy saw someone wakeboarding for the first time and immediately decided he wanted to try it himself. That year, he entered the Amateur National Series and he got 7th place in his first wakeboard contest ever. From then on, he would spend the winter months riding his motorcycle and wakeboarding during the summer.
Jimmy’s passion for both sports was insatiable; but while racing in the Movistar Junior Cup, a well-known motorcycling competition in Spain, he suffered injuries after a crash on the track and was forced to give up racing road bikes. At that moment, Jimmy decided to put all his efforts into wakeboarding and competing on a new track, the lake.
The following year in 2004, Jimmy decided to enter the National Wakeboarding Series and after a tough year of competition, he placed 4th over-all in the Amateur standings. With the confidence of improving with each competition, Jimmy pushed harder in his trainings to always try to out-do himself and as a result, he won that year’s series.
In 2005, Jimmy felt he was finally ready for the big leagues and entered the Pro-class of wakeboarding, to no one’s surprise; Jimmy took 3rd in the series and two second places in other events. After his success in the competition, Jimmy was named “Rider of the Year” by WakeExtreme, the most popular Wakeboard Magazine in the country.
In 2006, Jimmy flew to Orlando, Florida and spent quality time riding among the best riders in the world in order to push himself to the next level. In 2007, he became a part of the national team, representing Spain in the European and World Championships. He ended up ranking 9th in Spain and 12th in the World Championships and also won the National Series, all while studying Economics at “Universidad Autonoma de Madrid”.
In 2008, Jimmy was invited to take part in numerous wakeboarding exhibitions, including “Dreams”, a wakeboarding event to an audience of 20,000 people, making it the biggest exposure for the sport that year. This was a big year for Jimmy, he was frequently being mentioned in magazines, radio and television, making him a house-hold name in wakeboarding and making his sponsors all the more proud.
In 2009, Jimmy spent a month training in the Philippines at Conelly Water-Sports Complex (CWC), to get in top shape for the year. At the same time, his media success was having a huge impact on the sport as he was featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine, the first time a wakeboarder has been given so much attention in such a well-known, world-wide magazine.
In 2010, Jimmy returned once again to the Philippines in order to be ready for the season and it proved successful. Jimmy won the National Series, the Waterfront Battle 2, and the Barcelona Extreme Games. He also competed in the European, World, and Nokia Fise Championships feeling at the top of his game.

Matthew Wingett also known as 'Matt Wingett' (born 24 April 1968 in Portsmouth, Hampshire), is an English screenwriter, journalist, novelist, songwriter and hypnotist, and is the brother of English actor Mark Wingett. His most well known works for television are episodes of the ITV1 police procedural The Bill.
Career
Matthew wanted to be a writer from his youth and joined a publishing company in 1986, where he learned about the trade of writing and book production. His writing developed over the next 6 years until in 1991 he was hired to write episodes of The Bill for ITV1. Matthew's brother, Mark Wingett, played Jim Carver in the show. Matthew was scrupulous about maintaining separation from his brother. His first script was submitted to the Script Unit under the name of Matthew Brothers to deflect charges of nepotism. This first script, Thicker Than Water also did not use Jim Carver. It contained a theme recurring in Wingett's works: the conflict between local loyalties and a greater good. Wingett was 23 years old when his first episode was aired and was the youngest writer at The Bill.
Wingett contributed to the writing of eight episodes of The Bill, between 1991 and 1997.
Matthew has written travel journalism for the Sunday Mirror and children's articles for The Daily Telegraph amongst other works.
In April 2008, after suffering from writer's block Matthew approached hypnotist Paul McKenna to see if he could help him rediscover his creativity. After one 40 minute session, Matthew found that he was able to write creatively again.
He became the editor of the monthly newsletter 'NLP Life' , Matthew has produced short stories and novellas, many set around his home town of Portsmouth. One of these is his romance / detective / ghost story starring the real-life 1940s retro / vintage band The Three Belles.

There are no records of names used by the Romano-British for their roads, if they used names at all. The few surviving Roman maps and documents, such as the Antonine Itinerary only distinguish roads by the towns which they served. Many Roman roads in England were renamed by the Anglo-Saxons, although many more fell out of use and largely disappeared, now seen only in lines of trees, crop marks or parish boundaries. These lost roads are now identified by numbers, some with added letters, given to them by I D Margary.
Roads ending in 'gate'
Roman roads used by the Saxons and hence renamed, in Old English, with the suffix 'geat' or 'gate' (for example, Batham Gate, Stanegate).
Roads ending in 'street'
In the Anglo-Saxon era, stræt (hence the modern word "street") simply meant a paved road (Latin: "via strata") as opposed to a native dirt track, and did not have the modern association with populated areas. It was therefore appended to many old Roman roads that remained in use in the Saxon and subsequent eras. The word stone or stane also occurs frequently so that there are two Stane Streets and two Stone Streets. There is also a Street Lane in Leeds.
Roads ending in 'way'
*Fosse Way, stretching from Exeter (Isca Dumnoniorum) to Lincoln, Lincolnshire (Lindum Colonia), via Ilchester (Lindinis), Bath, Somerset (Aquae Sulis), Cirencester(Corinium) and Leicester (Ratae Corieltauvorum).
Roads starting with ‘dyke’
*Ackling Dyke, from Old Sarum (Sorviodunum) Badbury Rings (Vindocladia).
Roads ending in 'road'
*Cade's Road, from Brough-on-Humber (Petuaria) to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (Pons Aelius). It is named after John Cade from Durham who first postulated its antiquity.
* Pye Road, from Camulodunum (Colchester) to Venta Icenorum (Caistor St Edmund, near Norwich).
