In 2007, AIID opened its 5,000 square feet, state-of-the-art teaching facility located in the heart of Dupont Circle; a historic area of the nation’s capital.
Mission
AIID's mission is to provide continuing dental education to dentists in the field of implantology combining lectures and the latest hands-on training approaches to provide real-life applications.
Education
The Institute integrates lecture, hands-on and surgical elements to its curriculum to provide participants a comprehensive overview in oral implantology. With three progressive prosthetic modules, a surgical module and a preceptor program, participants are able to tailor their education in a format that best suits their skill-set. The preceptor program provides the opportunity for clinicians to participate in live patient treatment by assisting a faculty member over an extended period of time. The Institute has also created several case specific courses that are geared primarily to specialists, practitioners that already place implants, as well as auxiliary team members.
AIID is both an ADA CERP & AGD PACE approved program provider. Participants are awarded continuing education credits consistent with the guidelines and standards outlined by these two dental organizations.
AIID Global
AIID has an international approach to continuing education. AIID local directors around the world create educational opportunities for dentists who can not otherwise travel to the United States to receive the same lectures in their own home countries. All participants who receive AIID global courses will receive ADA CERP and AGD Pace approved continuing education credits.
AIID Store
Participants of AIID courses are able to purchase supplies, instruments and technologies unique to the training they have received during the AIID courses from the AIID in-house store.
