Corporal Bruce McKay, born in Bronxville, New York, was a Franconia, New Hampshire police officer shot and killed in the line of duty on 11 May 2007 by 24-year-old Liko Kenney. Kenney was then in turn shot and killed by a passerby, Gregory W. Floyd.
Incident
Kenney and his friend and co-worker Caleb A. Macaulay, were pulled over by McKay, with whom Kenney had a contentious history, for not having a current registration and inspection sticker.
McKay, 48 years of age, was laid to rest with full police honors 17 May 2007.
Controversy
The fatal incident has been a source of controversy, including questions of over-aggressiveness for "a minor offense." The New Hampshire conducted an investigation and determined that the use of non-deadly force by McKay and the use of deadly force by Floyd was justified, and that the use of deadly force by Kenney was not. The dashboard video taken from McKay's vehicle was released by the Attorney General's Office on 25 June 2007, along with the Attorney General's final report on the incident. Floyd was cleared of any wrongdoing in the incident with no charges filed. The Attorney General's report neglected to analyze the incoming windshield bullet at the base of Liko Kenney's windshield but did analyze the bullets in a barn and carport.

Videodamus- This term was first developed with the advent of the video cassette player, and the sudsequent establishment of Video stores throughout the world. Sales representitives from the studio's tring to sell videos into the stores found that some store owners could acording to them predict the future success or failure of a film in their area before it has been released. Famous Quatrains like "That won't work in my area" or " The people in my area are wierd" if these Quatrains fail there is alway the old reliable "I've blown my budget this month". Many have thought these powers of perception are being wasted in the cut and thrust enviroment of the video industry. There are many commentators who do not understand why these "videodamuses" aren't using these remarkable powers for the bennifit of human kind or there own monitary gain.
Other terms include- "DVDdarmus" -this is a modern adaption of the term "videodamus".
