The Death Valley Ecoregion is a terrestrial ecoregion of the Deserts and xeric shrublands biome, as designated by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) arid ecoregions scheme. Other biogeography systems define and designate the Mojave Desert ecoregion differently.
Death Valley Ecoregion
The Death Valley Ecoregion is located in the Mojave Desert, in the southwest corner of the physiographic Great Basin Region, in the Southwestern United States. In addition to the areas in California and Nevada, it includes the Mojave Desert's areas reaching into northwestern Arizona and southwestern Utah.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDW) also designates the desert's area within the state as the Mojave Desert Ecoregion, for their State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) programs.
Mojave Basin and Range Ecoregion
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), United States Geological Survey (USGS), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) all designate the Mojave Desert as the Mojave Basin and Range ecoregion, of the Deserts and xeric shrublands biome. 7 for 4 (or 7for4) is a largely instrumental progressive metal project led by guitarist Wolfgang Zenk, a former member of Sieges Even. Zenk has also produced all the band's albums to date. The band have released three albums through MGI records between 2001 and 2008, but have not achieved major commercial success.
As is typical in the genre and in similar bands such as Liquid Tension Experiment and Liquid Trio Experiment, each 7 for 4 composition typically takes in elements from several different genres. For example, "E-Gyptian" contains strong elements of both Latin American and metal genres.
